        I was born in Texas, and my family returned to California back in 1985. I've lived in California since age 2, so I consider my worldly outlook, and my art to be a product of California: always seeking new and unconventional forms of expression.
       I grew up in the Los Angeles area (San Gabriel Valley), where I had the good fortune of being exposed to a great variety of cultures and ways of looking at the world. My surroundings along with my lifelong interest in art and nature have culminated into a desire to express the wonders of science through art.
       I earned a Biology Bachelor’s degree from UC Davis, and have worked in biology labs for over 10 years. My training as a scientist, coupled with my art studies have combined into a complete coalescence of science and art.
